Marzia Al-Hakeem is a Lecturer in Psychology and also serves as the Student Support Head at UCB.
Marzia completed her MSc and MPhil in the Department of Clinical Psychology, University of Dhaka. She completed her clinical internship at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and the National Institute of Mental Health and Hospital. Currently she is an active general member of Bangladesh Clinical Psychology Society (BCPS) and a student member of the International Neuropsychology Society (INS).
Marzia has a multitrack career as a Psychologist, Researcher and Trainer. In her clinical practice, she is a Cognitive Behavior Therapy practitioner and employs a range of evidence-based treatment. She administers various psychometric assessments including intelligence tests and neuropsychological tests for treatment planning.
Her primary research interests are in trauma, drug addiction and brain injury; she is aiming to specialize in Clinical Neuropsychology in the near future. She already has several scholarly publications in journals, books chapters and conferences, and has presented at international conferences such as the 8th Asian CBT Conference 2024 and 10th World Congress of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies 2023.
Marzia works as a consultant and soft-skill trainer for various organisations, such as the World Bank and United Nations.
