Dr Md. Rakib Hossain holds a PhD from Imperial College London, and an MSc and BSc in Mathematics from the University of Dhaka, where he won the Dean’s Award and graduated first in his class.
His teaching experience spans the University of Dhaka over a decade, where he has also supervised multiple undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
Throughout his academic career, his research interests have focused on fluid dynamics, numerical simulations, applied mathematics, and related fields. His research work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, including the International Journal of Heat and Fluid Flow, and American Journal of Applied Mathematics.
In recognition of his academic excellence, Dr Hossain has received multiple research grants and numerous prestigious awards, including the Commonwealth Scholarship (2016), Prime Minister Gold Medal (2010), and A.F. Mojibur Rahman Gold Medal (2008, 2009).
